Dr. Ramon Resa is a pediatrician. He is also a former abandoned migrant child farmworker who returned to his Central Valley community to care for and be a role model for kids like he used to be. Seemingly hidden, there are many examples of former migrant child farmworkers who have succeeded beyond anyone’s imagination. The Migrant Child Farmworkers Now High-Profile Professionals documentary is changing that by showing Ramon’s story along with 10 others; stories that will inspire all of us.
Dr. Resa’s inspiring journey is beautifully depicted in a mural that stands proudly at Canal Alliance, a non-profit organization dedicated to protecting the rights of immigrants and refugees in Marin county.
