Original Documentary Film Preview – TRT: 5 minutes

On-Camera Presenter – Xolo Maridueña | Star of Blue Beetle, and Cobra Kai
Xolo Maridueña is the on-camera presenter of this original documentary film featuring the untold stories of eleven children of migrant farmworker parents. Many experienced seemingly overwhelming problems including homelessness, hunger and poverty. Six of the eleven worked as full-time migrant child farm laborers to help support their families.
Yet, none of this stopped them. Today they are MD’s, research scientists, engineers, educators, medical professors, and leaders elected to the U.S. Congress and California state government. Their impressive accomplishments include authoring hundreds of scientific research papers published in The New England Journal of Medicine; contributing to the development of pivotal Apple products and teaching medicine at the Stanford School of Medicine and the UCSF Fresno Medical Education Program.
Making such meaningfull contributions to society, in defiance of all odds and adversity is a testament to the indomitable human spirit. Their success in turning childhood poverty and hardship into personal and professional triumph is a timely reminder of what is possible for all (now and throughout history). Showcasing the limitless human potential that exists in every child, no matter background or circumstances. Their stories make a clear case that every human being (child) is to be treated with dignity, considered to be of equal importance, and as such, afforded every opportunity to flourish.
