Migrant Child Farmworkers to High-Profile Professionals©
Original Documentary Film Preview – TRT: 5 minutes

On-Camera Presenter – Xolo Maridueña | Star of Blue Beetle, and Cobra Kai
Xolo Maridueña is the on-camera presenter of this original documentary film featuring the untold stories of eleven children of migrant farmworker parents. While growing up many of them experienced seemingly overwhelming problems including homelessness, hunger and poverty. Six of the eleven worked as full-time migrant child farm laborers to help support their families.
Today they are medical doctors, research scientists, engineers, educators, leaders elected to the U.S. Congress and California state government, and a former big law attorney turned Hollywood talent manager (Xolo’s manager). Their impressive accomplishments include authoring hundreds of scientific research papers published in The New England Journal of Medicine; contributing to the development of pivotal Apple products and teaching medicine at the Stanford School of Medicine and the UCSF Fresno Medical Education Program.
Their stellar achievements, in defiance of all odds and adversity, are a testament to the indomitable human spirit. Their success in turning childhood poverty and hardship into personal and professional triumph is a timely reminder of what is indeed possible for human beings (now and throughout history). A showcase of the limitless human potential resident within every child, no matter background or circumstances. The very reason every child (human being) is to be treated with dignity, considered to be equally important, and as such, afforded every opportunity to flourish.
